H.E. Dr. SOK Siphana is the Founder and Managing Partner of Sok Siphana & Associates as well as an Advisor to the Royal Government of the Kingdom of Cambodia. Dr. Siphana has advised the Royal Government in the areas of international trade and economic development for more than two decades, both as a UNDP Legal Advisor and as a Secretary of State for the Ministry of Commerce, where he was instrumental in Cambodia’s admission to the WTO, the first least-developed country to join that body. We are honored to have H.E. Dr. SOK Siphana speak as part of our Guest Lecture Series and also honored to have him as the Patron of the first class of our Executive Masters of International Business program.

Topic of his presentation: “The ASEAN Economic Community: Perspectives from Cambodian Businesses on the forthcoming Changes, Risks and Opportunities.”
H.E. Dr. Siphana’s talk will focus on what the ASEAN Economic Community will mean for businesses in Cambodia, especially for SME’s. He will outline some of the effects of the AEC for Cambodia and comment on the timelines for such changes to be implemented. He will also note how the AEC will contribute in an atmosphere of greater trade liberalization and the benefits and challenges that will emerge for countries within the AEC in the global trading context.

This lecture is open to the public.
